The X-Men of the 90s are brought to the modern era in a new title from Marvel Comics.

Before X-Men: The Animated Series is relaunching on Disney+, fans of this iconic X-Men set can pick up X-Men ’92: House of XCII #1 Wednesday, which marries the work of writer Chris Claremont, artist Jim Lee, and the fan-favorite age-old show Krakoan presented by writer Jonathan Hickman in House X and Powers of X. This modern era for mutantkind has included many earth-shattering moments, quite literally in the case of Mars, which was terraformed by the mutants of Krakoa last year during the first “Hellfire Gala” event. House of CXII will be a five-issue miniseries written by Steve Foxe with art by Salvador Espin, but how much of the mutant era of Krakoan will bleed into the classic story that x-men fans know and love remains to be seen. There will be more for readers to pick up and explore next week though.

Liberation is also Electra #100, a landmark issue for the character who took a different path last year. Following the incarceration of Matt Murdock/Daredevil at daredevil, Elektra took up the mantle of hero in the title’s 25th issue and has been the Fearless Woman ever since. Not only did she star in the current main daredevil series, but she received her own tie-in miniseries – Daredevil: Fearless Woman — to recent reign of the devil event, which ended with Matt and Elektra vowing to “save the world”. According to the request of Electra #100, the problem will be the “starting point of what is to come”. The issue is written by Ann Nocenti with art by Paulo Siqueria, Ty Templeton and Sid Kotian.

Elektra and the X-Men are joined next week by Wolverine Miles Morales in What if… Miles Morales #2 and new challenges for Black Panther, dark Vador, Captain Carter and more. The full list of releases can be found below in alphabetical order, including covers and solicitations.
