THE streets of Wotton under Edge will transform into a magical outdoor gallery this week.
The third annual Wotton Window Wanderland, a window-based walking trail involving more than 100 properties, takes place around the city from Thursday (February 3) to Monday (February 7).
Residents have decorated their windows with colorful and ornate designs and hundreds of people will walk the streets to marvel at the fantastic displays.
Organizer Martin Clarke said: “The Wotton Window Wanderland provides a great tonic at the lowest point of the year for many people when there are too many bills to pay and so many other pressures.
“This year, we expect around 120 properties to participate.”
The windows will be officially lit from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every evening during the course. Free printed maps are available across the city and can also be downloaded via: windowwanderland.com/event/wotton-under-edge-2022/
Martin added: “Entrance to the event is free and this year Under the Edge Arts is covering all costs as a thank you to Wotton for his support during two difficult years.
“Special thanks to Kay Tily, Scott Bryce, Spike Woods and Sarah Conroy for the beautiful Chipping Hall displays.”
Martin said this would be his last year as the organizer of Window Wanderland.
