The Ramattan Cultural Center will organize the collective art exhibition “Generations Forum” on May 25

CAIRO – May 18, 2022: Egypt’s fine arts sector is holding a collective art exhibition titled “Forum of Generations” at the Ramattan Cultural Center on May 25 at 6 p.m.

The exhibition lasts until June 4.

It should be noted that the Taha Hussein Museum occupies the Ramattan villa building, in which the dean of Arabic literature resided from 1955 until his death in 1973. His wife resided there until his death in 1989; then it turned into a museum.

In 1992, the Ministry of Culture bought the villa and in July 1993, the family of Taha Hussein presented the Ministry of Culture with the Great Necklace of the Nile, a set of decorations, medals, scientific and honorary certificates, and rare manuscripts that Taha Hussein possessed obtained during his lifetime, in addition to all his personal effects and the furniture of his villa, including rare oil paintings and statues of great Egyptian artists.

Additionally, the museum houses the Taha Hussein Arabic Library, which contains over 3,000 books. The museum was inaugurated on July 15, 1997 after the construction of an annex building to become a cultural center bearing the name of Ramattan Cultural Center located on part of the garden of the villa.
