the OPPO Reno8 series succeeded in time and brings Vanilla variant, Pro variant and Pro+ variant. One of them houses the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip. Keep reading to find out who the lucky winner is!
The standard OPPO Reno8 and Reno8 Pro sport the same 6.43-inch display, while the Pro+ model has a larger 6.7-inch screen. All of their screens use the AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate except for the vanilla model which peaks at 90Hz.
Under the hood, the OPPO Reno8 packs a MediaTek Dimensity 1300, and the Pro variant is the one that gets the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. On the other hand, the Pro+ model comes with a Dimensity 8100-Max chip. All three devices support up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. They also share a 4,500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
On the camera side, the series serves as triple rear cameras. The vanilla variant setup features a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP secondary snapper, and a 2MP macro unit. The Pro and Pro+ have the same sensors, except for an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The OPPO Reno8 series also uses the brand’s MariSilicon X chip, and three smartphones are equipped with the same 32 MP front camera.
Pricing for the Reno8 starts at 2,499 Yuan (~RM1,648) for the lowest 8/128GB model, while the Reno8 Pro costs 2,999 Yuan (~RM1,978) for the same configuration. Both devices offer three color options: Clear Sky Blue, Slightly Drunk, and Night Tour Black. The Reno 8 Pro+ is priced at 3,699 Yuan (~RM2,440) for 8/256GB as the lowest trim and comes in three paint jobs – Xiaoyaoqing (mint), Roaming Grey, and Undercurrent.
