Oppo has officially announced that it will collaborate with iconic Swedish photography brand Hasselblad on the imaging system for the upcoming Find X5 series. That’s no surprise given the myriad of Find X5 Pro leaks that showed off the Hasselblad logo. It remains to be seen if the collaboration will be limited to color grading and camera interface design like on last year’s OnePlus 9 Pro or if we’ll get an additional Hasselblad picture tweak. .

The Find X5’s imaging system is expected to use a Sony IMX766 – a 50MP, 1/1.56″ sensor with 1.0µm pixels for the main and ultra-wide cameras while the telephoto module will use a 13MP sensor with 5x optical zoom. The MariSilicon X NPU chip developed by Oppo will also be part of the image processing equation and the omnidirectional autofocus system.
In Find X5 related news, a notable leakster Digital chat station shared that Oppo’s internal five-axis stabilization system is in mass production. This is the same module that was showcased at Oppo’s photo event last summer.
The global Oppo Find X5 Pro with model number CPH2305 was also spotted in a Geekbench listing rocking the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 12GB RAM. The phone managed 1,256 single-core points and an output of 3,420 points in the multi-core department.
