Lacey’s Spring man at center of 2-state manhunt captured in Morgan County | News

Adam Wilson

Morgan County Sheriff’s Ron Puckett said deputies captured Adam Dexter Wilson, who was spotted wearing gray clothing earlier Thursday in the Seagroves Road area off US 231 in Union Grove ( Lacey’s Spring).

The sheriff’s office is asking people to avoid the area.

Wilson was wanted by warrant in Alabama and Tennessee.

WAAY 31 reported Monday that authorities believe Wilson was at large in a stolen truck in East Tennessee after an Alabama judge ordered his bail revoked in a case in which he was charged with interference in childcare.

Wilson was the subject of an Amber Alert manhunt in May 2021. He was caught with a 16-year-old girl five hours after the alert was triggered and was arrested.

A condition of the 36-year-old’s bond was that he had no contact with the teenager.

Prosecutors sought to have her bail revoked after Wilson contacted the teenager last week and met at her residence in Sevier County, Tennessee.

Sevier County Sheriff’s investigators say Wilson allegedly stole a blue 1996 Ford F-150 truck with Tennessee license plate number CVK-355, which was taken from the area where Wilson was known to be walk.
