When he is badly injured in Sudan, he comes into contact with a statue of the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu, who revives him (saving his life) and transforms him into a moon knight in the process. From this moment on, he must save and protect the innocent. Moon Knight features four major aspects of the Moon God’s nature: traveler, scout, embracer, and defender of those who travel by night.
